I shot streetcars after a long time. I visited Otsu city of Shiga Prefecture at this time in order to shoot streetcars on the street-running section near Hamaotsu station.
Because I thought it was troublesome that I would specially go to Osaka city in order to visit Otsu city of Shiga Prefecture and that I would pay the highway charge which exceeds 1000 yen, I went first from Nishiwaki via Kato, Sasayama, Nantan and Kameoka to Kyoto along the Route 372. Nishiwaki, Kato and Sasayama belong to Hyogo Prefecture, and Nantan and Kameoka belong to Kyoto Prefecture. I parked at a coin parking near Ukyo Ward government office because It felt more troublesome for me to pass through central Kyoto city.

Please watch previous video in which the advertising train was shot. I shot the video on the street-running section between Hamaotsu and Miidera stations of Ishiyama-Sakamoto Line. I like tramway which runs on the street-running section better than on the segregated section.
I went from Uzumasa-tenjingawa station of Kyoto city subway as the nearest station of Ukyo Ward government office to Hamaotsu station of Keihan Otsu Line, by train.

After that I arrived at Hamaotsu station of Keihan. A commemorative ticket of K-ON! were sold here. I bought it soon.

Though looking like normal character goods seemingly, this B4 booklet as the commemorative ticket of K-ON! made by folding into two from B3 size sheet, is a set of five one-day passes which is able to use on Keihan Otsu Line (Keishin Line and Ishiyama-Sakamoto Line). A commemorative ticket of K-ON is sold at 3000 yen. 7000 commemorative tickets are sold by Keihan. Incidentally, a PVC figure in left side above photo is what I got at a game center recently.

to shoot the advertising train (No.613-614) which was used as HO-KAGO TEA TIME TRAIN of “K-ON!” the movie, though someone may be able to recognize by this document title and above mentioned commemorative ticket of “K-ON!”. As I expected, not only many railway fans but also many cartoon fans shot the HO-KAGO TEA TIME TRAIN because it was wrapped fully with a popular cartoon “K-ON!”. (Of course, someone who likes both railway and cartoon also do.)

Five main characters of “K-ON!” were drawn outside the advertising train. The advertising train was wrapped fully, including windows. Additionally the head marks for exclusive use is also attached the train front. Also inside the advertising train, that is, the passenger doors, the corner on wagon, wall above the luggage rack and the straps, almost all were covered with "K-ON!". But I thought unfortunately that the advertising poster hung in the train was general. The advertising train was made by tie up with the movie. Therefore, like the AD train of JR Yamanote Line in Tokyo, if "K-ON!" the movie was used as the advertising poster hung in the train, it would be perfect. However, I felt earnestness of Otsu Railway Department of Keihan by wrapping of the advertising train.

The advertising train acts like killing two birds with one stone surely for me because it was possible for me to enjoy tramway and cartoon.
If the advertising train brings more passengers who are not only railway fans but also railway non-fans, the Otsu Railway Department gets more income by using Otsu Line and buying commemorative tickets. Otsu Line will be continued without abolishing by stable management of the Otsu Railway Department. I think that above case is good for Keihan and residents along Otsu Line.
If the advertising train brings larger audience of the movie, the production companies also get more income. I think that this case better.
I left Hamaotsu station and came back to Ukyo Ward government office again. Arashiyama Line of Keifuku Electric Railroad known as Randen is going in front of Ukyo Ward government office. If I left Kyoto without shooting Randen's tram which was run in front of my eyes, I would be sorry. Therefore, I took a photo of Randen at this time. I returned from Kyoto via Kameoka, Nantan, Sasayama and Kato to Nishiwaki reversely along same route of the outward journey. Looking at the map again, you can see that distance between Nishiwaki and Kyoto is nearly as long as distance between Nishiwaki and my hometown Sakai. (Both distance is approximate 90km and both take approximately 2 hours 30 minutes without driving the highway.) When I will go from Nishiwaki to Kyoto, I will drive also this route from next time.
